Visit to Conguillío National Park

The Conguillío National Park is one of our favourites in Chile. We have been visiting it many times, the last time just after New Year this year. We stayed again at the Sendas Lodge Conguillío – this time in the Tolhuaca cabin beautifully located in the middle of an Araucaria forest.

Puma tracking in Torres del Paine

After more than 25 years of travelling in Chile and not having seen a single puma, we decided to join a puma-tracking expedition in the Torres del Paine National Park and the adjacent Estancia Goic in the Chilean Patagonia known to host the largest population of pumas in South America.

Roundtrip through Ireland

Taking the opportunity of the Republic of Ireland hosting the first ESO Council meeting after Ireland became the 16th member state of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) we visited the Irish capital Dublin over a long weekend in early June followed by an 11 day and 2700 km roundtrip through Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Safari through Northern Tanzania
