Photosphere of the ESO Very Large Telescope (VLT) at Paranal Observatory taken at night. This time of the year the band of the Milkyway crosses right over the whole sky through the zenith at the beginning of the night. The picture was taken one hour after sunset and one can still see the zodiacal light to the West.
